Welcome the 22nd solar term among the 24 solar terms -- the winter solstice

The Winter Solstice, also known as the Sunan Solstice, the Winter Festival and the Asian Lunar New Year, is the 22nd solar term among the 24 solar terms. The Winter Solstice Festival originated in the Han Dynasty, started in the Tang and Song Dynasties, and has been going on since then. It is believed that the winter solstice is the natural transformation of yin and yang, which is a blessing from heaven.

In China, there are many folk customs in the winter solstice, the most classic of which are the following two!

1、 [Eating Tangyuan in the South] Tangyuan is a must in the winter solstice in the south. "Yuan" means happy reunion.

2、 [Eating dumplings in the north] The winter solstice is the time of yin and yang "jiaozi", so eating dumplings on this day means "obeying the will of heaven".
